罰神 The punishing spirit. In a work called 說 苑 Yue-yuen, it is said, " 虢公 The duke of Koh dreamed that a 神人 spiritual person, with white hairs on his face, with tiger's claws, and holding a battle-axe, stood up in the west corner of the hall. The duke, on awaking, called the historian 嚚 Yin, to divine what it could be. Yin said, Ac-. cording to your description, it must be 蓐手 Juh-show ; who is the 罰神 punishing spirit in heaven." |
